PIB NEWS
- HLL Lifecare Limited, a Mini-Ratna CPSE under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, paid a record dividend of Rs. 69.53 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2024–25, marking one of its highest ever.
- The National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) released ₹18.3 lakh as Access and Benefit Sharing (ABS) funds to Biodiversity Management Committees in Narrau village (Uttar Pradesh) and the Lampokhari Lake Area (Sikkim).

- Heritage Foods Ltd has acquired a 51% stake in Peanutbutter and Jelly Pvt Ltd, the parent company of health-focused ice cream brand Get-A-Way, for Rs 9 crore as part of its Vision 2030 strategy to expand in premium, functional desserts.
- Honda Motor has acquired a stake in Indian clean energy start-up OMC Power to co-develop advanced clean energy battery technologies, accelerating India’s renewable energy transition.
- India is intensifying e-waste recycling efforts to reclaim critical minerals vital for electronics and clean energy technologies, promoting sustainability and resource security.
- The Indian green building market is forecast to grow considerably through FY32, supported by regulatory incentives, rising eco-consciousness, and increasing demand for sustainable infrastructure.
- The Government of India is developing a ₹13,000 crore scheme to support domestic toy manufacturing and employment, aiming to transform India into a major global toy production hub.
FINANCIAL NEWS
- India is preparing to increase the foreign direct investment (FDI) limit in state-owned banks from the current 20% to 49%, aligning their rules more closely with private banks and attracting greater foreign capital.
- The Reserve Bank of India is expected to expand the list of non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) classified under the “Upper Layer”, subjecting more entities to stricter regulatory oversight and enhanced capital requirements.
- Private sector capital expenditure (capex) drove India’s economic growth in the first half of fiscal 2025-26, especially bolstered by a manufacturing sector resurgence.
- The Reserve Bank of India has removed the ₹10,000 crore lending limit on individual corporate borrowers, allowing banks greater flexibility in extending loans to large corporates.

- The Odisha government approved 33 investment proposals worth ₹1.46 lakh crore, including an ₹84,000 crore coal-to-chemical project by Adani Enterprises, generating over 66,000 jobs across various sectors.
- Starting December 1, 2025, Uttarakhand will levy a green tax on vehicles entering from outside the state to reduce pollution and protect the fragile Himalayan ecosystem.
- The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology approved seven new electronics manufacturing projects worth ₹5,532 crore, further strengthening India’s electronics hardware industry.

- East Timor (Timor-Leste), Asia’s youngest nation, officially joined the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) as its 11th member, enhancing regional integration.
- Russia’s missile ‘Burevestnik’ (NATO codename: SSC-X-9 Skyfall), powered by a nuclear reactor, is claimed to have near unlimited range and the ability to evade any current missile defence system
