- The Goods and Services Tax (GST) celebrated its nine years of implementation on 1 July 2026, marking a historic milestone in India’s indirect tax reform journey by transitioning to a simplified, destination-based consumption tax system.
- Dr. R. Balasubramaniam released the National Study Report on Low Participation in Gram Sabha across States and Union Territories in New Delhi, which covers nearly 7,800 respondents across 26 States and Union Territories to assess public engagement in grassroots democracy.
