SSC CGL 2026 Tier-1: Exam Window, 10,731 Tentative Vacancies and Admission Certificate
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is conducting the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2026 (Tier-I) as a computer-based examination. A notice dated 12 September 2026 fixed the exam window from 30 September to 30 October 2026, so the Tier-I exam is still running as of 29 October.
The Commission has also published the tentative vacancies for the examination. They stood at 10,731 as on 24 September 2026. The Tier-I result has not been announced yet.

Tentative Vacancies
The list covers 59 entries across ministries and departments. It states that the final vacancies may vary from the tentative figures, and that state-wise or zone-wise vacancies are not collected by SSC. Candidates should contact the user departments for that information.

Of the total, 373 vacancies are marked for ESM, and the list shows 122 for OH, 138 for HH, 99 for VH and 105 for other PwD candidates.

The two State Cadre posts carry a language-wise bifurcation, which is given in annexures to the official list. The list classifies the Level-8 posts as Group B (Gazetted). The Level-7 and Level-6 posts are Group B (Non Gazetted), and the Level-5 and Level-4 posts are Group C (Non Technical).
Exam City and Admission Certificate
- Candidates can view their exam city by logging in through the designated login module on the SSC website.
- The Admission Certificate is tentatively available for download two to three days before the respective exam date, through the same login module.
- Candidates using their own scribe may need to register the scribe afresh, because scribe registrations made before 05.11.2025 were disposed of.
- Scribe registration is now linked to Aadhaar authentication and is mandatory for anyone who wants to act as a scribe.
- The last date and time to map the scribe’s registration was 24.09.2026, 11:00 PM. The Scribe Entry Pass is generated only for candidates who completed the mapping.
