India’s retail inflation rose to a three-month high of 1.33 per cent in December from 0.71 per cent in November as deflation in the food segment narrowed and the base effect wore off, according to data released by the National Statistical Office.
BMI forecasted a 7.4 per cent GDP growth for the current fiscal year FY2025/26 and 7 per cent for FY27, attributing the outlook to a favourable policy environment that stimulates investment and consumption.
India’s Credit-Deposit ratio has increased continuously from 53 per cent in 2000-01 to 82 per cent as of December 15, 2025, signifying better financial development and leading to strong economic growth, according to a report.
