RBI CIRCULARS
- Effective November 1, 2025, RBI has introduced updated nomination rules for bank deposit accounts, locker articles, and safe custody items, offering more transparency, flexibility, and expedited claim settlements.
- The Reserve Bank of India has announced the official bank holiday schedule and key regulatory reforms, including updated nomination rules and cybersecurity enhancements for bank domains, effective November 2025.
- From November 1, 2025, the Reserve Bank of India mandates banks to offer simplified, transparent nomination facilities for deposit accounts, lockers, and safe custody items with provisions for multiple nominations.
- The Reserve Bank of India emphasizes timely processing, rejection communication, and visible nomination status to strengthen depositor protection under the amended nomination rules effective November 1, 2025.
INDUSTRY NEWS
- India is planning to nearly triple its rare earth magnet incentive program to more than ₹7,000 crore (~$788 million) to develop domestic production capacity and reduce reliance on China.
- Oswal Energies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Deendayal Port Authority to develop projects including green hydrogen, methanol, ammonia production, and a 100 million litre per day desalination plant in Gujarat.
- JNPA signed Memorandums of Understanding worth ₹2.2 trillion with partners to develop port infrastructure and the upcoming Vadhavan Port project, boosting India’s maritime capacity.

- India’s net Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection rose by 5.6% in October 2025, reaching ₹1.95 trillion, reflecting improving economic activity and tax compliance.
