INDUSTRY NEWS
- Auto components manufacturer Gabriel India has announced a joint venture with South Korea’s SK Enmove to expand into India’s fast-growing ₹40,000 crore lubricants and EV fluids market.
- Tata Steel has signed a 20-year contract with Air Water India Private Limited for operating and maintaining its Air Separation Unit at Jamshedpur, enhancing operational efficiency using global cryogenic expertise.
- India’s premium warehousing supply rose by 6% in the first nine months of 2025, driven by demand from e-commerce, third-party logistics, and retail sectors.
- The Government of India has launched the first-ever State Mining Index to rank states on mineral sector reforms, promoting transparency, efficiency, and investment facilitation in mining.
FINANCIAL NEWS
- Indian companies raised over Rs 5.47 trillion through bonds in the first half of 2025-26, with activity slowing in Q2 but expected to revive in Q3 due to favourable RBI policies and investor interest.
- India’s Employees’ Provident Fund corpus has increased nearly fivefold from Rs 5.46 lakh crore in FY14 to Rs 24.76 lakh crore in FY24, reflecting formal labour market expansion and higher organised sector wages.
- Muse Wearables, an IIT Madras incubated startup, has partnered with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to launch India’s first wearable payments ecosystem featuring a smart ring enabling instant RuPay-based payments without the need for phones or cards.
- India plans to restart the consolidation of smaller public sector banks with larger ones by fiscal year-end, aiming to build two large PSBs among the world’s top 20 banks and support the country’s economic growth ambitions.
- Bajaj FinServ AMC has introduced the ‘Pay with Mutual Fund’ feature enabling investors to make UPI payments directly using their mutual fund investments, bridging investment growth with everyday spending needs.

- India and Brazil are committed to broadening their Preferential Trade Agreement under Mercosur, aiming to increase bilateral trade from $12 billion to $20 billion by 2030 through expanded tariff lines and strengthened economic cooperation.
